Congratulations to Natasha Frazer! She is the Brisbane resident who has just won a signed copy of "Hoffman's Creeper and Other Disturbing Tales" by suggesting that I set a story in the Boondall Wetlands. I love the idea. The wetlands is a mysterious pocket in the north of Brisbane which is only accessible by following a boardwalk that weaves its way through it or by exploring it in a canoe. It's the kind of place that is both beautiful and troubling - especially at night. Who knows what secrets are kept in its shallow but murky waters? Who can say what strange happenings might take place amongst the tangled mangroves?
